What`s happening

Around Sauk Centre

Our club is very passionate about giving back to our community.
We have many projects in the Sinclair Lewis Park.
   * The benches around bandshell, so that people have a place to relax when visiting the park.
   * The shelter at the Sinclair Lew Park is used often. You can call the city to reserve the shelter for your family gathering. It's spacious and provides shade. It's also near the playground so you can watch your kids from the shelter while visiting.
   * The gazebo is a photogenic spot also located at the Sinclair Lewis Park. It is located near the historic water fountain and  provides a place to enjoy all the park has to offer. A great view from the gazebo and shade for a pleasant trip.
   * The instruments at Sinclair Lewis. Just off the path near the shore of Sauk Lake. A fun little spot to drop the kids to play and express themselves through music.

The Little Free Library is located at the Sauk Centre Community garden. Take a book, leave a book is the policy. It's a wonderful addition to the garden.
The Sun Stations are located at the Splash Pad and are available for anyone who needs additional sunscreen protection while visiting the Sauk Centre Splash Pad. Thank you to Maria Jennissen for presenting such a great idea to our club.

As you can see, we love to give back to our beloved community of Sauk Centre. If you have a project in mind that you'd like us to help with please don't hesitate to contact us.

Stearns County Fairgrounds shelter
A local project located right here in Sauk Centre. Phase 1 is complete. We removed old bingo tables, painted, poured cement, replaced damaged wall and added 8 picnic tables. It's ready to enjoy for everyone for all events held at the Fairgrounds.
Phase 2 will consist of finishing the ceiling and repair the lighting.

All of our hard work isn't possible without the help of some amazing sponsors!
Thank you to everyone who helped us complete this project!

STRIVE

One of our most successful programs from year to year is our STRIVE program within the Sauk Centre High School (Students Taking a Renewed Interest in the Value of Education). Monthly, our mentors meet with students to help them figure out how to improve their GPA, learn new life skills, and make personal connections. We offer scholarships and many quarterly awards during this program. We love to see our students succeed in high school and also help them get ready for life outside of high school.

Youth Exchange

We are very excited to be able to work with our District 5950, and bring an exchange student to Sauk Centre each year, Our students will stay with us for an entire year and stay with about 3 different families during their stay, They will enroll as a student at the SCHS and attend regularly. They are also offered many opportunities to travel at the end of the year as well as fun gatherings with other Rotary exchange students throughout the district.
For more information on our Youth Exchange program, please contact Laurie Fevig, our program coordinator: lauriefevig@gmail.com

Warm Hands/Warm Heads/Warm Hearts

Each year we donate hats and mittens to our local schools. Pictured to the left are students from the Holy Family School in Sauk Centre where we donate. We also bring a box of supplies to the Sauk Centre Elementary School. They can distribute them to students if they forget to bring their own.
